It’s hard to impress me with chicken. For many, chicken is a staple protein, a versatile ingredient that can be prepared in countless ways. My experiences with chicken have led me to believe that much of what is served, often lacks creativity and depth in flavor. The common methods of frying, grilling, or baking often result in dishes that might be edible but they fail to form excitement for the taste buds. To truly impress me, chicken must exceed the ordinary techniques and flavors.

One way to elevate the flavor of chicken is through the use of marinades and spices. The use of salt and pepper is not impressing anyone. Consider using more exotic spices like curry, cumin, and something simple like garlic powder. In addition to spices, cooking methods can make a significant difference to the texture and the juiciness of the meat, making it far more enjoyable. Pairing the chicken with unexpected sides or sauces can also elevate the dish and create a memorable experience.

Overall, to impress me with chicken, it requires a combination of creativity, skill, and a passion to venture beyond the standard and basic recipes. Whether it’s a specific twist on a classic dish or an entirely new approach, the key to making chicken more than just protein on a plate, is to make it a memorable dish. Only then can chicken truly earn my admiration.

Go to your local grocery store and get a value pack rectangular container of chicken tenders. Go home, trim them up a little bit to your liking and put them in a gallon Ziploc bag. In a bowl, mix ⅓ cup of yellow mustard, ⅔ cup of hidden valley ranch dressing, and 3 tablespoons of brown sugar. Mix everything together and pour it in the Ziploc bag. Once this is done, put it in the fridge overnight or a few hours. Once ready to cook, take it out of the bag and put it on the grill or smoker. Let it cook until the chicken has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit. While the chicken is cooking, slice potatoes and season with garlic salt and lowreys and put them in a big frying pan to let cook. Mix them around as needed while you are waiting for the chicken to finish cooking. When your chicken and potatoes are cooked, put the potatoes in a bowl and the chicken on a plate and serve it. Along with the chicken and potatoes, get a smaller bowl and remake the sauce to dip the chicken and potatoes into on the side.
