I thought I could make it. I really thought I could make it. Last Christmas me and my family went to Tennessee for a Christmas break. We had an early flight that morning but we got up a little late, so we had to get ready fast and go to the airport.
The airport is only 5 minutes away from my house, by the time we got to the airport we were 45 mins early before the plane took off. When we got to the gate, the large suitcase gate was closed because we were late and didn’t go to the airport early enough. At that time my Dad was parking the car, when the gate lady said she could book another flight for my family tomorrow morning, my Dad said “No, we have to get on that flight today”.
So we open up the big suitcase and grab what we need and put it into smaller suitcases, after putting everything in it we go to the security checkpoint and after that we go to the Gate for our plane, we have been waiting there for about 15 mins and there was an announcement about our flight got canceled. Due to the weather our flight was canceled on the day before Christmas Eve, so we went back home and told the other family that we wouldn’t make it.
We felt so frustrated, tired and mad, but the next day we got on the plane and landed safely in Tennessee and had a wonderful time with the families.

I enjoyed the play by play of getting to the airport, with the detail of how you felt at the end.

The story shows the sense of urgency really well with trying to balance out everything between small suitcases and other stuff. Nice job!
