I was walking up Hudson towards the 8th Avenue, 14th Street subway station. Leaning up against an empty storefront, right on the sidewalk, was a hard plastic vinyl work table folded in half and an industrial strength pair of bolt cutters. As I was passing, the guy sprawled on the sidewalk next to this NYC still-life looked up at me and said, “You’re going need these. You know you will.”
I laughed a little to myself and kept walking before it hit me, “Wait a minute, that’s a perfect Street Snippet!” So I turned around and walked back to take a picture of this real world still-life.
What’s the story here? Where did they come from? How will they be used?
