“I can’t take you to the park sweetie because the Giants are about to start playing.” Dad says to me. I then remember that one of my friends is going to that game.
“One of my friends is going to that game, can we go too?” I say to my dad.
My dad replies, “I didn’t buy any tickets, there is no chance we could get in.”
We start walking to a bus stop to head home, when all of a sudden there is a big explosion. Around the corner a few blocks you could see smoke coming up above buildings, me and my dad start running towards it. All of a sudden there are hundreds of people running out of the stadium, the stadium already has parts of it collapsing, the huge dome just going down into pieces. Parts of the stadium hit other buildings which caused a domino effect.
My dad shouts, “Stick with me buddy.” We start running away, but we can’t get far because of how many people are in the streets running. There’s yelling, shouting, sirens everywhere, it’s starting to make my head hurt. We keep trying to make out way through people, when all of a sudden, a building right next to the stadium starts to fall down in flames. It’s coming right in our direction, we just have a few steps to get out from under it before it falls on us.
I’m thinking just a few more feet, a few more steps. I run as fast as I ever have with my dad not knowing if I will make it. And BAM! Everything goes silent, all of the yelling, shouting, sirens, everything. It’s as if I lost control of everything.
Until my dad dragged me out from under some brick, I survived, along with my dad, but barely.
