The Sun Will Rise
There ain’t no sky today,
But I know-
It’s not like this everyday.
Days are not here to stay-
They’re meant to pass that way.
They’re merely moments of time-
Time to try,
To try to be-
All you can be,
Even if you think,
You’re already where you’re meant to be.
Time to grow-
And time to change,
And time to realize,
Each day was worth it-
Even the ones with pain.
Even if you can’t see through the cloudy sky,
All things eventually subside.
There ain’t no sky today,
But I know,
Tomorrow the sun will rise.

I love how you put a positive spin on this prompt, recognizing that low moments are always temporary and reassuring the reader that everything will be alright in the long run—time always moves forward.

I really liked how you used end punctuation throughout the poem. I thought you did a good job using it to show when to pause for the reader. It made the read smoother for sure and helped to make sure the reader knew how you wanted it to sound. I really liked the idea of the poem how things will change and get better. I thought you did a great job portraying this throughout the poem. I really liked the flow of the poem throughout especially the part about ” Time to try, To try to be- All you can be, Even if you think, You’re already where you’re meant to be.” I felt that moments like this helped to keep the flow of the poem. Overall you did a great job keeping a good pace. Nothing felt rushed or too slow.

The way you capture the nature of time and the importance of growth, even in difficult moments, is truly inspiring. I love how you remind us that even when things feel cloudy or uncertain, there’s always hope for a brighter tomorrow. It’s a great reminder to keep going, no matter the challenges, and trust that every day good or bad has its purpose.
