“People were trying to tell him he was a genius.”
I could never understand the excellent students at school, their behavior, communication and other things they did were always strange to me.
When I went to first grade, I was seated in the first row because of my bad vision. I don’t know about other countries, but in our country, either the visually impaired or the smart ones sit at the first desks. And I was lucky enough to sit with one excellent student. At first I thought that he was a completely calm and normal boy because before the lesson he sat quietly and calmly and did not communicate with anyone.
But it turned out that he was a mega active boy whose answers and questions came out of his mouth faster than he could breath. At first, no one paid much attention to this, but soon it began to irritate not only the student but also the teacher and although she tried to hide it, her eyes said otherwise.
Most of these people usually consider themselves not smart enough. Despite the fact that everyone is trying to convince them that they are geniuses, they do not agree with this. So no matter how much we told him that he was very smart, he always denied it.
To be honest, I have never understood and probably never will understand what is going on in the heads of such people. Do they know that they are smart and just want to be praised or do they consider themselves stupid because they just did not understand some topic somewhere? I only know that considering yourself stupid because you made a mistake somewhere is not right. Because we are all people and we have the right to make mistakes in life, but this does not make us stupid, on the contrary, we learn from our mistakes.
