I thought I could make it, I really thought I could make it. This is what my best friend Crag yelped in the hockey locker room when he went crashing down. Now time for a little explanation, this all started after practice when everyone took the tape off their socks and sticks to make a huge ball. The ball ended up being around the size of a basketball. As one very stupid would do, Crag decided to play basketball with it and hit a dunk. He went to the top of the bench and made us move the trash can so he could dunk it.

We were all sitting down and waiting for him to jump and dunk it but he didn’t. He didn’t seem hesitant; he looked like he had an idea. Also when he tries to think of ideas he gets this scrunched up face. We all asked him what he was thinking and he looked at me and said come here. I walked slowly towards him and he told me to walk and stand right at the trashcan and duck. I asked him why and he told me to trust him. After a very long minute I decided that I don’t care and what’s the worst that can happen so I ducked in front of the trashcan and he jumped.

Suspense filled the air when he was loading up the jump, he launched off the bench and went soaring into the air. As he started coming down his knee clipped my shoulder and he went flying into the trash can. At that exact moment he said, “ I thought I could make it, I really thought I could make it.
