As I walked through the dark streets of Bangor Maine, I could hear the blaring horns and the screeching of tires from far off vehicles.I could never have imagined what happened that night.

As I walked through the dimly lit road, I felt as if someone was watching me. A shiver of fear creeped down my neck to my back. As I rounded the corner into my apartment, I saw out of the corner of my eye a covered figure that slipped and swayed like a ghost in between the walls. I started to jog down the hall to the elevator when I bumped into someone “Oh! I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there,” I say “I wasn’t looking where I was going,” the man smiled

“It’s quite alright, that jolted me back to life.” he said,

“strange..” I thought .

“Look I know we just met, but can I get your number?” he quietly asked

“Mm… Sure!” I said “What’s the worst that could happen?”

“You have no idea,” he mutters

“What was that?” I ask, he just looks at me puzzled as if I have three heads.

“Oh, I just said you have no idea how glad I am to have bumped into you,” He quickly responds and hands me his phone to type in my number. “Thanks Woman in white,” he says when I hand him back his phone, “I’ll call you later!” he yells to me as he walks away.

Buzz Buzz, goes my phone about an hour later “Hello woman in white.” he whispers

“Hi.” I answer plainly. “Do you have a name? or should I call you…,” I ask

“My name is-“

“Wait! I am thinking up a name for you, hold on.” I interrupt “How about Ghost boy?”

“I like that.” he says “So Woman in white, tell me about yourself.” he demands

“Well, I like sports, Oh and I love scary movies,” I say “What about you?”

“Scary movies are my favorite, I love Stephen King movies, what about you” he says in a raspy voice

“I love the monsters. Do you like them?” I ask in response.

Monsters who will not show themselves and who cause trouble, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood, and monsters who always tell lies,’ ” he says. They pose as humans, even though they have no understanding of the human heart. They eat, even though they’ve never experienced hunger.’ ” He continues, I can feel his cold breath on my neck ” ‘They study, even though they have no interest in academics. They seek friendship, even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such a monster- ‘” He says, and I can feel something dripping onto my shoulder. “I would likely be eaten by it because in truth…… I am that monster’ ” (-L. Lawliet). I’m frozen in my position as my phone slides out of my hand. “And the truth is, Woman in white, we are all that person.” He tells me. I spin around and hug him as tears drip from his cheek, “I’m sorry…” He cries and holds a gun to my head “But you deserve this” Pow!

Everything went black, and the line clicked. Ghost boy is nowhere to be seen.
